Electoral-Vote.com

There's a great web site that shows the most recent polls across the United States: www.electoral-vote.com.

One interesting aspect of this is that it shows that Oklahoma (my former home state before moving to Helsinki) is the state with the second least support for Obama: 34%. The only state lower? Utah with 32%.

(All values were from today.)

If I checked out the results correctly, it was Dick Cheney's home state of Wyoming with the lowest result for Obama: 32%. Then was Oklahoma with 34% and Utah with 35%.

In Nebraska Obama got 41% of the vote yet got one of the state's five electoral votes after carrying the 2nd congressional district thanks to a strong showing in Omaha. Nebraska and Maine apportion their electors to the winners of congressional districts rather than to the candidates who get the most votes in the state as a whole.
